Make-A-Wish Foundation: Ways To Help

Because many wishes involve air travel, donating your airline frequent flier miles is a great way to help grant wishes. We estimate the Foundation needs more than 2.5 billion miles to grant travel wishes each year.

Currently, the Make-A-Wish Foundation^® does not have formal partnerships with airlines not listed above; however, Make-A-Wish^® chapters can use transferable vouchers or tickets on a case-by-case basis. Gift Acknowledgement

The Make-A-Wish Foundation^® currently receives donor information for acknowledgment from American Airlines and Northwest Airlines. For other contributions, please check your program statement to verify that your request for contribution has been processed. Processing may take 30 to 60 days.

Tax Deductibility

The IRS recognizes award points and miles as a gift or an award from the corporation to the individual. Therefore, points and miles donated to charity are not considered tax deductible.
